Witnessing

Pastors and Christians who are not witnessing are sinning against God’s clear command.
Pastor’s who are not training others to witness are not following God’s clear mandate.
Churches that are not leading others to Jesus will die!

Some Advice for Witnessing
No Christian should be timid or hesitant about witnessing because God will stand by him.
He has nothing to fear, for Jesus assured, “All power is given unto me in heaven in earth.”
(Matthew 28:18) and He promised, “Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost
has come upon you . . .“ (Acts 1:8)

If the Christian knows he should witness, that God will go with him, and if he knows
the basic rules in witnessing, he will become an effective witness.

The method of leading a soul to Christ may be broken down into four steps.
They are: the approach, instructions, appeal, and the follow-up. ...More

Methods of Appeal
1. Allow freedom to choose.
Do not coerce the prospect.
Do not overwhelm him with an improperly motivated appeal.
Present the gospel facts and do it with all earnestness,
but leave the choice with the person.
To go further than this is to take the appeal out of God's hands
and make of it a human instrument.
...There are several other helpful appeals. ...More

How To Become a Christian
You are not here by accident.
Jesus loves you, and He wants you to have a personal relationship with Him.
There is just one thing that separates you from God.
That one thing is sin.
People tend to divide themselves into groups -- good people and bad people.
But God says that every person that has ever lived is a sinner,
and any sin separates us from God.

All of us have broken the first and greatest commandment, which is:
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind.
This is the great and first commandment." (Matthew 22:37,38)
To break that commandment is the gravest of sins
We have sinned! ...More

Pastors and other church members can use the following as a guide to lead someone to Jesus!

Excuses
The Christian who consistently witnesses to people will consistently be given excuses.
Some of the excuses most often heard are:
“I'm good enough already.”
“I couldn't hold out.”
“There are too many hypocrites in the church.”
“I don't accept all of the Bible.”
“Eventually, but not now.”

A Christian should keep a list of the reasons which he is given for not becoming a Christian.
During the days of our Lord's earthly ministry he was often given excuses
as he called upon men to follow him. ...More

God's Answers to Satan's Lies
"When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father thereof." (John 8:44)
"The devil that deceived them." (Revelation 20:10)

1. "I am not very bad."
(1) Your heart is sinful.
"For from within, out of the heart of men, evil thoughts proceed, fornications,
thefts, murders, adulteries, covetings, wickednesses, deceit, lasciviousness,
an evil eye, railing, pride, foolishness: all these evil things proceed
from within, and defile the man." (Mark 7:21-23)
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt;
who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9) ... MORE
